Stay in Nieuwkoop, visit Amsterdam

- Nieuwkoop and Amsterdam, the best of both worlds

Just a 40-minute drive from Nieuwkoop and you’re in the middle of Amsterdam. The town of Nieuwkoop is perfect for when you do want to visit Amsterdam but prefer to sleep in a quieter area, surrounded by nature.  Spend a few nights in this beautiful municipality, in a cosy B&B, holiday home or hotel and visit Amsterdam from there. This way you’ll wake up amongst singing birds and can have breakfast on your quiet terrace, and still walk around in the centre of Amsterdam just an hour later to explore the many sights, squares and canals of this beautiful city.

- A day in Amsterdam

In our amazing capital city it’s impossible to be bored! Visit one of the many museums, the Anne Frank house, the famous canals of Amsterdam, Vondelpark, Museumplein, the Red Light District, the Albert Cuypmarkt or Dam Square with the Royal Palace. Take a look at the website of I Amsterdam here and plan your perfect day.

- Transport to Amsterdam

When travel by car, the easiest way is to park your car at a P&R (Park &Ride) and take the bus, metro or tram to get to the city centre. These P&Rs are located at for example the Amsterdam ArenA and the Olympic Stadium. Would you rather park close to the centre? Parking Oosterdok is a good option.
