Historical Museum Ter Aar

At the Cultural-Historical Museum in Ter Aar you'll discover everything about the history of this region. There's a lovely little historical store at the entrance, and you can book a boat tour with us. This museum is more than worth a visit! 

The museum is managed by the Cultural-Historical assocation Ter Aar. You'll find the carpenter's workshop of the Spijker family, the gardener's tools in the greenhouse of the Esveldt family, and outside you'll find the agricultural and farming machines. Inside of the museum we have an exposition room, where there are changing expositions. In the horticulture room you'll find the old auction clock and various preserves, in the boat room you'll find a traditional pram from Langeraar and a rowing boat. On the first floor you'll see an overview of archaelogical finds, the housekeeping of the farm, and immerse yourself in the historical archives.
